Suryakumar Yadav On His ODI Form: During the 3-match ODI series against West Indies, one thing which was the biggest concern for the Indian team was the form of Suryakumar Yadav. So far Surya’s performance in ODI format has not been seen to the level that everyone expects from him. However, in the third T20 match against the West Indies, a brilliant match-winning inning of 83 runs was seen with his bat. Surya also spoke openly about his ODI form after this innings and admitted that his figures are very bad.
Suryakumar Yadav has so far got the opportunity to play 26 ODIs for the Indian team, in which he has scored only 511 runs in 24 innings at an average of 24.33 and during this time 2 half-century innings have been seen with his bat. On the other hand, in T20 International, Suryakumar Yadav is currently the number-1 batsman in the ICC rankings.
Regarding his poor form in ODI format, Suryakumar Yadav said that we all talk about honesty and you should too, but there should be talk on how it can be improved. I have talked to Rohit and Rahul sir about this, in which they told me that this is the format in which I do not play much, so it should be practiced more.
it’s a challenging format
In his statement, Suryakumar Yadav further said that we are playing so much T20 format, we have become used to it. ODI is a challenging format in which you have to bat differently. If your wickets fall quickly, then you should bat carefully like in the Test format. After this you should try to play like T20 format in the end. That’s why I am trying to play the way the team management has asked me to play in this format.
